Be a Part of a Historic Church!

Founded in 1778 by William Hickman near a spring that gave the area its name, Skinquarter Church is the second oldest continuous Baptist congregation in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The first church was built on Hickman's farm in 1778, the same year he was ordained a Baptist minister. The present church building was constructed in 1891, with additions made in 1974. Then, the entire sanctuary was refurbished in 1986 and the fellowship hall was added in 2000. For more information about our history, click here.
